The workshop will bring together experimentalists and theoreticians working on gas-phase, solution phase and biological proton transfer problems. It will cover a variety of topics including protonated gas-phase clusters, intra- and inter-molecular proton transfer, multiple proton-transfer, solid-state protonic reactions, liquid-phase and excited-state proton transfer, acid dissociation, proton mobility in water, protons in proteins and trans-membranal proton transport.

We plan to accept a limited number of poster presentations on the above topics:

• Abstracts should reach the organizing company by June 7, 1998.
• Notification of acceptance will be sent by June 30, 1998.
• Registration forms and prepayment due by July 31, 1998.
• Registration includes admission to a get-together reception, gala dinner and a half-day tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. An additional 1/2-day tour for accompanying persons is planned. Conference sessions begin on Monday morning (Oct. 19) continuing through Thursday evening (Oct. 22).
